How do you charge a Polishing Pad?

We generally recommend taking a small quantity of cerium oxide and mixing it with enough water to make a mud paste out of it.

Then take that paste and smear it over the entire surface of either your Synthetic Felt Pad or LP pad. Let that sit overnight so the water in the cerium will help it soak into the pad.

Once that is done, you're on your way to having the pad charged up.

You'll still need to use cerium on the pad as you work, but the more the pad gets charged up, the less cerium you will have to use.
